2Storyline:
In Canada, visiting an Indian writer narrator Pi Patel and asks him to tell his life story. Pi tells of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, and the emergence of his nickname. One day, says his father, who owns a zoo, the city no longer supports the zoo and have therefore decided to move to Canada, where the family animals would also have safety be sold. They board a Japanese cargo ship with animals and suddenly there is a storm, followed by a shipwreck. Pi survives in a lifeboat with a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a Bengal tiger male nicknamed Richard Parker. They are adrift in the Pacific Ocean, with aggressive hyena and Richard Parker gets hungry. Pi must find a way to survive.
