1Storyline:
TS Spivet lives on a ranch in Montana with his mother, who is obsessed beetles morphology, his father (cowboy born a hundred years later), and her 14-year-old sister, who dreams of becoming Miss America a rich. TS to 12-year-old prodigy with a passion for cartography and scientific inventions. Once he receives an unexpected call from the Smithsonian saying he is the winner of the prestigious Baird Award for the discovery of perpetual motion and he was invited to a reception in his honor, where he is expected to make a speech. Nobody said anything, he embarks on a freight train across the USA to reach Washington. There is also the younger brother of Leighton, who died in accidents involving firearms in a shed families who never says no. TS with it to measure the amount of shots to try, and he does not understand what happened.
